Still Looping Today

A phone call came while I was at work.

“Could you take a look at some paperwork that arrived?”
“Sure. I’ll stop by on my way home.”

I hung up and went back to work.

Thirty minutes later, another call.

“Could you take a look at some paperwork that arrived?”
“Sure. I’ll stop by on my way home.”

Another thirty minutes passed.

“Some paperwork arrived…”
“Sure. I’ll stop by on my way home.”

The same exchange continued after that.
And each time, I dutifully gave the same reply.

…Apparently, I had become part of the loop myself.

“I’m at work right now. I’ll stop by on my way home, okay?”

Force quit.
