Statistics Calculator
Paste numeric data to calculate descriptive statistics and inspect its distribution in a histogram.
Step 1
Enter data
Enter one number per line. You can paste a vertical column directly from Excel or a spreadsheet (up to 10,000 values). Blank lines are ignored.

- Population variance
- Sample variance
- Population SD
- Sample SD
- Coefficient of variation
Calculation methods
- Population variance and SD use divisor n; sample variance and SD use n − 1.
- For quartiles, the median is excluded before the lower and upper halves are split; their medians become Q1 and Q3.
- Coefficient of variation is sample SD divided by the absolute mean, multiplied by 100. It is unavailable when the mean is zero.
- Automatic histogram bins use Sturges’ formula.
- The normal curve is a reference calculated from the input mean and sample SD; it does not establish that the data follow a normal distribution.
- Box-plot whiskers extend to the most extreme values within 1.5×IQR of Q1 and Q3; values beyond them are shown as outliers.
All calculations stay in your browser; the entered data is not transmitted.
